For the third time, «Ukrainian Infrastructure Forum’18» gathered top managers in the Ukrainian infrastructure sector, international and domestic investors in Kyiv. In the focus of the event – the transport system of Ukraine. About ten hours speakers and participants discussed opportunities for its development and investment potential. «The Forum is a great opportunity for Ukrainian companies to demonstrate their capabilities to Europeans», – said Maxim Rakhlinskyi, chairman of the National Transport Business League.
This year the event was divided into four thematic panels. In particular, it was about attracting foreign investment, developing automotive, aviation and rail transport, logistics, digital infrastructure and communications. Leading experts from the largest Ukrainian companies («Ukrzaliznytsіa», Boryspil airport, «Ukravtodor», etc.) made expert reports sharing experiences and perspectives. The speeches of all the speakers were broadcast online in duplicate in English.
«We want to attract as many foreign investors as possible, foreign partners of Ukraine come here and see their eyes – we have very great potential», – says Maria Barabash, organizer of the Forum.
The participants of the event say: Ukraine has every opportunity to strengthen its position in the market of providing transport services. But the transport sector is a systemic business that requires planning, clarity and consistency.
«The domestic infrastructure market should become attractive for foreign partners», – Maxim Rakhlinskyi said. – «This means that our government and business must learn to work for a common result, to create an environment where the rule of law is governed by clear and understandable rules for all market participants – both profile companies and potential investors».
According to the organizers, next year the Forum will be more comprehensive. The event will last for a week, except for transportation issues will still be industrial. Thus, foreigners can familiarize themselves with a wider range of investment opportunities in Ukraine, which in turn will give impetus to the development of the Ukrainian economy.
